Discovering NEW techniques for creating art.

First of all I decided this is the summer of  "discovering new techniques!" Two new techniques (to me) are 1) fluid acrylic painting (with cells), and 2) Encaustic painting. I started with fluid acrylic painting technique. I studied different techniques like layer pouring and dirty pour.  * Layer pouring is just like it sounds. Pour a small amount (up to you) one color on the canvas or substrate, second color, third color and repeat. Most recommend pouring the white first and last. You can get into the chemical aspect or density to figure out what works best for you. Dirty pour (in a cup) is pouring your first color in a cup and layering desired colors until you think there is enough paint to cover your canvas or substrate. *Don't listen to the people who say "it's a lot of wasted paint!" .... unless you just can't get passed "wasted paint."
